September 2015 —The 13th Annual CCF Golf Classic, held on July 20, was a sold-out success with 224 attendees and 64 sponsors. Held at the historic and distinguished Montclair Golf Club in New Jersey, the event raised more than $370,000 for pediatric cardiomyopathy research and education.

Guest speaker, Jennifer Dickson, spoke about her cardiomyopathy journey 11 and a half years ago when her son, Drew, was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy at 6 months old. She shared with CCF supporters how the Foundation is making a difference for parents like her and giving hope to thousands of children like Drew. Drew is now a thriving 11 year old who is taking pre-algebra classes, learning to surf and playing recreational basketball.

A delicious buffet dinner and the awarding of golf prizes rounded out the day's activities. The winning tournament foursomes were: Tim Brennan, Jon Eckert, Mike Kelly and Tim Brennan (first prize); Brian Lee, Keith Hanauer, Dan Ornstein and Shawn Tumulty (second prize); Marc Berkowitz, Kevin Coleman, Greg Roselli and Dave Zurenko (third prize); Tom Flannery, Matt Maggio, Sean Peters and John Porges (fourth prize). The prize for closest to the pin went to Michael Speaker and Sean Cunningham whereas Clay Calhoon, Grant Savage and Cindy Cash won the prize for longest drive. Brian Hewitt took home the mulligan’s prize raffle.
